What a usable MAP evidence record should include
- The product name, SKU, and monitored MAP value.
- The listing URL and seller or reseller name.
- The captured selling price and price difference.
- A timestamp showing when the scan or screenshot was taken.
- A screenshot or saved export that survives after the live page changes.
Why screenshots matter
Links go stale, marketplaces change layouts, and sellers update prices. A screenshot is not perfect proof by itself, but it gives the team a frozen point-in-time record that is much easier to escalate internally or attach to outreach.
Saved exports are still useful
Exports matter because they let a team preserve a whole scan, not just a single row. That is especially important when the question is not “did this happen once?” but “who else was below MAP during the same run?”
Make documentation part of the workflow
The best setup is to capture screenshots for violation rows, attach them to the job, and let the same report carry the listing and evidence links. That way the person reviewing a violation does not have to reconstruct context from scratch.
